Hair concern

Hair breakage

When the lengths snap, the ends quickly turn uneven, and after colouring or styling the hair loses its sense of density.

What to take against breakage

Start with support for the lengths and the ends, and if the breakage comes together with dryness or porosity, build the ritual in several steps.

Signs of breakage

When the lengths need support

Breakage is not just dry ends. Hair can snap along its length, lose visual density and fail to grow out as an even surface. In this kind of care it matters to combine support for density, protection for the ends and a soft finish without overloading.

The lengths snap 01 The lengths snap

The ends quickly turn uneven, and after combing you can see short broken pieces of hair.

Hair loses density 02 Hair loses density

The surface seems thinner at the lower part, although the density near the roots is normal.

No spring after colouring 03 No spring after colouring

The lengths are clean in colour, but dry, porous and unable to hold a smooth finish.

How to build the ritual

A ritual against breakage

If the breakage is local, start with the ends and keratin support. If it runs along the whole length, it is better to build care in 2-3 steps: the main product after washing, support for the lengths and a finish that reduces friction.

A ritual against breakage
  1. 01 Support the lengths

A keratin serum or a mask for hair that snaps.

  2. 02 Seal the ends

A serum or leave-in on the lower part of the lengths.

  3. 03 Reduce friction

A finish before the dryer, the brush or daily contact with clothes.

FAQ

Answers before you buy

How do I tell breakage from dryness?

Dryness feels like stiffness and rough ends. Breakage shows in snapped lengths, an uneven edge and a loss of density at the bottom.

What should I add first?

If the hair snaps along the lengths — keratin support. If the problem is at the ends — a serum or a leave-in for the lower third.

Will care remove split ends?

An already split edge has to be cut. Care helps the lengths look denser and lose their neat finish more slowly.

When do I need a set?

When breakage comes together with dryness, porosity or dullness after colouring or lightening.

How do I avoid weighing down fine hair?

Apply dense textures only along the lengths, and the finish on the ends. Start with a small amount of product.

Can I add a toning mask?

Yes, if there is also a colour job to do. But if breakage is the main problem, do not replace support for the lengths with toning alone.
