Hair concern

Static and frizz

When hair lifts after washing, clings to clothes, will not hold a smooth finish and quickly loses its neat shape.

What to take against static

What matters here is light finishes, a smoothed surface and care for the dry areas: static often gets worse when the lengths are dry or porous.

Signs of frizz

When hair needs control

Static rarely exists on its own. Often the hair is dry on the surface, porous after colouring, or simply too light without a finish. The job of care is not to flatten the lengths but to smooth them so the movement stays.

Hair clings to clothes 01 Hair clings to clothes

Especially after a scarf, a jumper or dry air: the lengths fly apart and will not hold their shape.

The finish frizzes quickly 02 The finish frizzes quickly

After styling the hair is smooth at first, but within a few hours the surface becomes uneven.

Fine hair loses its movement 03 Fine hair loses its movement

You want control, but dense products quickly make the lengths heavy and lifeless.

How to build the ritual

A ritual against frizz

Start with light smoothing after washing. If static stays at the ends, add a serum locally. If the hair is porous along its whole length, you need a regular ritual, not just a one-off finish before going out.

A ritual against frizz
  1. 01 Smooth after washing

An emulsion or light care, so the surface does not fly apart as it dries.

  2. 02 Treat the dry areas

A serum on the ends and the lower third of the lengths.

  3. 03 Support the shape

A light finish before styling, or on the days when hair is particularly static.

FAQ

Answers before you buy

Why does hair build up static?

Because of dryness, friction, dry air or a porous hair surface. The rougher the lengths, the more easily they frizz.

What should I choose for fine hair?

A light emulsion or a small amount of finish on the lengths only. Do not apply dense textures near the roots.

Will a serum for the ends help?

Yes, if it is mostly the lower part of the lengths that sticks out. It gives local control without a heavy layer over all the hair.

What should I do if my hair frizzes after washing?

Add a smoothing product right after washing and dry your hair without rubbing it aggressively with a towel.

Do I need a set?

If the frizz is linked to porosity or damage after colouring, a set will work more consistently than a single finish.

How do I keep the volume?

Use light formats, apply them from the mid-lengths down and do not layer several dense products at once.
