How to build the ritual
Conditioner after every wash
This is not an optional step but an essential one: shampoo opens the cuticle, and without conditioner it stays raised. That is exactly where frizz and rapid colour loss come from.

Squeeze out the water
On soaking hair the conditioner runs off with the water and has no time to work.

Apply from the mid-lengths
The roots do not need conditioner. Spread it along the lengths and especially onto the ends.

Leave for one or two minutes
That is enough for the cuticle to close. Rinse with cool water — the surface lies flatter that way.
