When a mask is needed
A mask instead of a conditioner, when the lengths need more
LUNEVA professional hair masks address the main concerns: dryness, breakage, porosity and loss of shine. Lipid, molecular and lamellar formulas work at different levels of the structure — from the cuticle to the cortex. Keratin, ceramides, proteins and hydrating complexes bring back density, elasticity and mirror shine without weighing hair down. Choose a mask for your concern and get a salon result after the first application.
01
Ends are dry right after washing
A conditioner takes this away for a few hours, and by evening the dryness is back. It is a sign that the hair needs structural repair, not surface care.
02
Hair tangles and breaks
A porous surface catches on itself, combs harder and snaps more easily along the lengths. This is where proteins, amino acids and ceramides work.
03
Colour fades quickly
After colouring the cuticle stays open and pigment washes out with every wash. A mask closes the surface and holds the shade longer.

How to build the ritual
A mask in your home routine
A mask does not replace your daily conditioner, it complements it. One or two applications a week is enough: more often will not be faster, only heavier-looking.
-
01
Remove the excess water
Blot your hair with a towel. On soaking hair the mask gets diluted and works less well.
-
02
Apply along the lengths
Step back from the roots and spread it with a comb — that way the product goes on evenly rather than in patches.
-
03
Leave on and rinse
3-10 minutes is enough. Longer is pointless: the active ingredients work in the first few minutes.
FAQ
Answers before you buy
How does a mask differ from a conditioner?
A conditioner works on the surface and makes combing easier; a mask works deeper, with proteins, lipids and ceramides. That is why conditioner can be daily and a mask once or twice a week.
How often should I use it?
For most hair once or twice a week is enough. Very porous lengths can take it more often, but then it is better to alternate a hydrating and a densifying formula.
Can I apply it to the roots?
Better not: it makes the roots oily faster and does nothing for them. A mask is for the lengths and the ends.
My hair feels heavy after a mask — what went wrong?
Most often it was left on too long, or the formula is too rich for fine hair. Try less product, less time and a lighter texture.
Mask or conditioner after colouring?
Better both: a mask repairs the structure, a conditioner closes the cuticle after every wash and holds the colour.
How long until I see results?
Smoothness and easier combing are visible straight away; density and less breakage come after several applications.
